With the in the meantime nearly completely sold out collector’s edition of Balloon Dog, made of high quality porcelain, Koons takes up the iconic motif of his monumental Balloon Dog sculptures from the celebrated Celebration Series created between 1994 and 2000.
Symbolically filled by the breath of the artist, the artwork unconsciously reflects on the impermanence of life and forces the viewer to confront oneself in the reflective surface.
